Streaming Potential System

Optimize Sludge Dewatering or Flocculation

The Sentrol Systems Streaming Potential System continuously measures electrical charge intensity, which indicates coagulant dosage in the treatment process. The application of the product ensures optimum chemical dosage, which improves treatment performance while reducing coagulant consumption.

The Streaming Potential Detector (SPD1000)receives the measured streaming potential signal from the streaming potential transmitter and converts it into industrial standard output signals, 4-20 mA and 1-5VDC, for treatment control applications.

Application Benefits

Optimizing chemical dosage, reducing treatment cost, enabling treatment process automation.

Product Features

Detecting optimum dosage point, non-clogging and non-fouling probe design, maintenance free for long periods, online zero adjustment.

Optional Computer Control System

Sentrol Systems provides computer control systems to work with its online sensors for industrial treatment automation. A standalone computer system with a highly intelligent control algorithm keeps polymer (chemical) dosage to optimum point.

The Streaming Potential Transmitter (SPT1000) measures electrical charge intensity in the water sample. Since the water sample continuously passes through the transmitter probe, process changes can be detected instantly. The probe is designed to buffer the sample so that a stable signal results even with variations in flow rate. The probe is able to perform sensitive measurements over long periods of time with virtually no maintenance.
